Winter favourites

Hello darlings!

Spring is right around the corner and I am showing you my winter favourites. I know, I know it's a bit late, but I am going to talk about them anyway, because they are useful in spring time too.

This is a mix of all sorts of things I loved this winter and some of them are not really beauty related, but I love them so much.

First my nail care favourites. I've been using Kiss Rejuvenate Nail & Cuticle Oil and Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Cream all the time this winter. Because I have really dry cuticles I used cream every day and oil when I took my nail polish off. They both did a great job keeping my nails healthy and moisturizing my cuticles. I decided to show you two of my winter nail polishes. First is deep blue Bourjois Soir de Paris and as the name suggests it really is the colour of the night sky. And the best part is it is opaque in one coat! And lastly I had to include a glittery nail polish :) This is Mannhatan Lotus Effect in 10S. Glittery top coat with gold and green glitter, but the greens are not so visible. It is really appropriate for the festive season. You can see how it looks like here.

Moving on to skin care and hair care. My favourite discovery is definitely  Afrodita Sugar Scrub, it smells divine, is really nourishing and does the job perfectly. Next is Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor. It detangels my hair and moisturizes it so well, I won't be using this only during winter, because my hair is really dry, but it was a real savior in this cold winter months. I also can't live without a good lip balm and cream. This winter the number 1 balm was this Burt's Bees  Beeswax Lip Balm with Vitamin E & Peppermint and the number 1 cream will always be Becutan  otroška krema za nego in zaščito kože (Baby cream), the greasiest cream ever, but a must for my dry hands.

Lastly some random favourites. I am a huge tea lover and because I can't stand coffee I drink enormous amounts of tea, especially during winter. I love Teekanne Rooibos Vanilla and Cha Vanilla tea. Cha Vanilla is my second favourite black tea, right after my all time favourite Earl Grey. I discovered it this year and I've been obsessed ever since. Now let me talk about this cute mug. I got it in Primark in Vienna for 3€. I love the design and it is perfect for mornings when I don't have time to drink tea, so I just bring it with me in this pretty mug. In Primark I also got myself this cute fuzzy socks with little hearts and they kept my feet warm during cold winter nights.

This are my winter favourites, hope you enjoyed reading this post :) What are your favourite winter products?

NOTD #4: simple spring nails

Hello darlings :)

I decided to bring spring on my nails and to keep it simple I only brought it to my ring finger.

I used nude nail polish as base on all of my fingers. I love this colour, because it really looks nice on me and is really suitable for my skin tone. After I draw this simple roses with bobby pin and pink and white nail polish. To finish it up I added some green leafs.

What do you think of this simple design?

Kaja

I used following nail polishes
  • base: OPI - Natural nail base coat
  • nude: Beauty UK - Cafe Culture
  • pink: O.P.I. - Strawberry Margarita
  • white: Essence - Wild White Ways
  • green: Kiko - 388 Caribbean Green
  • top: Catrice -  Quick Dry & High Shine Top Coat

New in #2

Hello darlings :)

I wasn't spending to much last month, I just bought few essentials. So this is just a quick post :)

Himalaya - Gentle Exfoliating Daily Face Wash - I ran out of my previous exfoliating wash and was looking for a new one. I read a few good reviews about this one and decided to buy. So far I like it, I don't use it every single day, but only 2-3 times a week and it exfoliates and cleans my skin well.

Body&Soul - Facial Brush - I knew that this brushes exist and are used for exfoliating, but I never decided to start using them until Simona from Beauty of a Lemon suggested using this. I have to be very gentle, otherwise my skin gets irritated, but I can definitely see improvement.

Beauty Baby - Zartcreme - I love rich baby creams for my dry hands and when I ran out of my Becutan I desperately needed a new one and because they didn't have it I bought this Zartcreme. And it's nothing like my usual baby cream. It's more like a gely/buttery consistency and I don't like the smell at all. But I found out that it works great as a foot cream.

Essence - Liquid Ink - I always thought that I can only master sponge applicator when it comes to eye liners, but I was so wrong. One of my friends has this one and I tried it. I was blown away. It's so much easier to apply eye liner with brush applicator! So naturally I had to buy one immediately.

Balea - Nature Nachtcreme mit Bio-Olivenoel - my face was very dry t the beginning of February and I got this cream in attempt to moisturize my skin. The cream is rich and it helped me a lot. It smells nice, not anything like olives though, and is very affordable.

Becutan - otroška krema za nego in zaščito kože - as mentioned before, I just ran out of this cream and had to get a new one. This is really rich, thick and oily cream. It's one of my essentials, especially during the winter months. I use it as hand cream every morning and evening and on my dry elbows. It's the best thing ever for extra dry skin. It takes some time to absorb, but it's not more than a minute or two.

That's all. I didn't have a lot of time for shopping in February, because of the exams. But now I can relax for few days :)

Hope you enjoyed this month's New in
